Role Title: Lead Machine Learning Engineer
Position Summary:
The Lead Machine Learning Engineer is a core contributor within the Data Science team, responsible for developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models that solve real-world problems in the property insurance domain. This role emphasizes hands-on engineering and collaboration with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, ML Ops Engineers, and Data Engineers to ensure scalable and production-ready solutions. The Lead Machine Learning Engineer is expected to take ownership of technical components of projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of ML engineering practices
Job Responsibilities:
- Model Development & Optimization: Build, test, and refine machine learning models for deployment in production environments. Ensure models are efficient, reproducible, and aligned with business goals.
- MLOps & Deployment: Implement MLOps practices including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and model monitoring. Collaborate with ML Ops and platform teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance.
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with Data Scientists and Engineers to integrate models into business workflows and applications. Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Documentation & Testing: Maintain clear documentation of model development processes and conduct thorough testing to ensure reliability and performance.
Skill and Experience:
- 4 years of experiencerequired to perform essential job functions.
- Proficiency in Python or R for machine learning and data science
- Experience with ML platforms (e.g., Databricks) and tools like MLflow.
- Understanding of MLOps practices including CI/CD, version control, and model monitoring.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices
Education and Certifications:
4 Year / Bachelors degree required.
