Data Engineer (GCP & Teradata Experience Required)

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and solution-oriented GCP Data Engineer to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially with BigQuery and Airflow, alongside strong SQL and Python skills. Experience with Teradata is required particularly for data warehousing, migration, or hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in solving problems independently, communicates effectively, and delivers reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical requirements gathering and development of functional specifications
• Analysis of various development alternatives for applications, information systems, and modules
• Code development in data management areas – cloud, data integration, analytics & reporting
• Design, development, and optimization of data pipelines across GCP and Teradata environments
• Supporting junior developers and providing team leadership/mentorship
• Supporting the presales team – technical whitepapers, solutions review
• Working with Agile multicultural teams in Asia, the EU, Canada, and the USA

Profile Requirements

• (Required) Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in GCP (BigQuery, DataProc)
• (Required) Hands-on experience with Teradata (data warehousing, SQL optimization, or migration to/from cloud platforms)
• (Required) Proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark
• (Required) Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams
• (Required) Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on delivering solutions
• (Required) Experience in full-lifecycle data engineering projects on GCP
• (Optional) Experience with SSRS is a plus
