We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Fresher/junior Lawyer to join Emmvee’s Corporate Legal Department. The role involves supporting day‑to‑day legal operations, including legal technology procurement and implementation, contract review, drafting of routine legal documents, legal research, and maintenance of legal data and MIS. The position offers hands‑on exposure to corporate legal functions and cross‑functional stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Operations & Technology- Assist in procurement, evaluation, and implementation of legal tools and software (e.g., contract management systems, legal research platforms, compliance tools). Support onboarding, usage tracking, and coordination with vendors, IT, and internal users for legal technology solutions.

2. Contract Review & Documentation- Review and proofread Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and other routine commercial contracts for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards. Proofread contracts and legal documents to identify errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues. Maintain standard templates and assist in updating contract formats as required.

3. Drafting & Correspondence- Draft routine legal letters, notices, acknowledgements, and internal legal communications under supervision. Assist in preparing responses to basic legal queries from business teams.

4. Legal Research & Advisory Support- Conduct legal research on corporate laws, regulations, policies, and case laws relevant to business operations. Prepare research notes, summaries, and draft advisory inputs for review by senior legal team members.

 

5. Legal MIS & Data Management-Maintain legal data, trackers, and MIS reports, including contract status, notices, litigation summaries, and compliance records. Ensure proper documentation, filing, and version control of legal records (physical and digital).

6. Stakeholder Coordination- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (procurement, finance, sales, compliance, IT, HR) for legal documentation and information requirements. Liaise with external counsels, vendors, and consultants for document exchange and follow‑ups, as required.

7. Key Skills & Competencies- Basic understanding of corporate, commercial, and contract law. Strong drafting, proofreading, and legal research skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage documentation effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination. Comfort with MS Office tools; exposure to legal tech tools is an advantage. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced corporate environment.

1. LL.B. (3‑year or 5‑year) from a recognized university.

2. Enrollment with a State Bar Council preferred.
