Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished and highly skilled Shoulder Surgeon to lead specialized shoulder care services at Ortho‑One, one of the nations premier orthopaedic centres. The role involves delivering advanced surgical and clinical care for a wide spectrum of shoulder conditions, ensuring superior patient outcomes aligned with global best practices. Working within a high‑performing multidisciplinary team, the candidate will contribute to comprehensive musculoskeletal and sports injury management. Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform shoulder surgeries, including arthroscopy and arthroplasty.
- Perform surgical procedures to treat shoulder injuries and disorders, including but not limited to rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, and joint replacement.
- Provide orthopaedic trauma care.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and evaluate patient conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Work with other specialized surgeons to stabilise patients in critical condition.
- Collaborate closely with orthopaedic surgeons, anaesthetists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Candidate Profile
- Education: MS (Ortho)/DNB with One Year Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery or Equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience after the Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme
Skills Required
- Expertise in shoulder arthroscopy, joint replacement, and complex shoulder reconstruction procedures
- Strong clinical judgment in diagnosing and managing shoulder pathologies
- Proficiency in pre‑operative planning and post‑operative rehabilitation protocols
- Ability to handle orthopaedic emergencies and trauma cases
- Knowledge of NABH/quality standards and patient safety protocols
- Excellent communication, patient counselling, and interpersonal skills
- Strong teamwork and multidisciplinary coordination abilities.
