We are seeking a Network Test Engineer specializing in Wide Area Networking (WAN) to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. In this role, you won't just be “testing” networks-you will build the sophisticated automation frameworks and tooling required to validate high-performance network infrastructures.
Your mission is to ensure WAN reliability by simulating real-world conditions-latency, jitter, and packet loss-through sophisticated Go and Python automation.
Key Responsibilities
WAN Simulation & Testing: Develop automated test beds to simulate global site-to-site connectivity, focusing on SD-WAN, MPLS, and Internet VPN topologies.
Traffic Engineering Validation: Build tools in Go to validate path selection, failover convergence times, and QoS (Quality of Service) policies across the WAN.
Automated Impairment Testing: Write Python scripts to programmatically inject latency, jitter, and blackouts into the test environment to verify network resilience.
Protocol Deep-Dives: Validate and troubleshoot WAN-specific protocols including BGP (EBGP/IBGP), IPSec, Segment Routing, and LDP
Performance Benchmarking: Use Go-based tools to measure throughput and end-to-end latency across geographically dispersed nodes.
