Brief Job Description
We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer who can translate ideas and briefs into high-impact visual assets across digital platforms. You’ll work closely with senior designers, content, and strategy teams to create visuals that are on-brand, platform-appropriate, and outcome-driven.
This role is ideal for someone early in their design career who is execution-strong, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, agency-style environment where strategy and creativity go hand-in-hand.
What You Will Be Doing
Core Responsibilities
- Create scroll-stopping visuals that drive engagement across social media platforms, using principles of visual psychology to capture and hold attention
- Translate client briefs into visually compelling content that balances creativity with brand guidelines and audience psychology
- Apply colour psychology, visual hierarchy, and behavioural design principles to maximise impact and engagement
- Research and apply platform-specific design trends and best practices to maximise reach and resonance with target audiences
- Refine and iterate designs based on feedback and performance data, understanding what drives audience action
- Maintain organised design files and asset libraries for smooth team collaboration
- Work closely with senior designers to ensure brand consistency and psychological alignment across all touchpoints
Strategic Contributions
- Develop visual concepts that align with campaign objectives, marketing strategies, and audience psychological profiles
- Design platform-optimised assets for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other digital channels with an understanding of how audiences consume content on each platform
- Create cohesive visual themes that support content calendars and brand storytelling while triggering the right emotional responses
- Analyse design performance data and refine visuals based on insights, trends, and what psychologically resonates with audiences
- Stay ahead of emerging design trends, cognitive design principles, and competitor strategies to keep work fresh and strategically relevant
Technical Requirements
- 1 – 3 years of professional design experience
- A strong portfolio showcasing your work in social media graphics, digital design, branding, or illustration
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and Canva – these tools should be second nature
- A sharp eye for aesthetics, composition, typography, and audience engagement
- Clear, effective communication skills – you can articulate design decisions and collaborate seamlessly
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
- A degree in Graphic Design, Mass Media, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset – we value initiative and independent thinking
- Curiosity about design psychology – an interest in understanding why certain visuals work and how design influences behaviour
