Interventional Cardiologist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly accomplished Interventional Cardiologist with extensive expertise and over 10 years of experience in advanced cardiac care. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing complex cardiovascular conditions through state-of-the-art interventional procedures, while upholding the hospital’s reputation for clinical excellence, patient-centric care, and ethical medical practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, valvuloplasty, device closures, and advanced coronary interventions.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and allied specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure evidence-based treatment protocols, aligning with national and international cardiology guidelines.
• Take part in emergency cardiac interventions (including primary angioplasties for acute myocardial infarction).
• Contribute to clinical research, training, and mentoring of junior doctors, residents, and fellows.
• Maintain meticulous medical records, case documentation, and compliance with hospital policies and accreditation standards.
• Actively participate in continuing medical education (CME) programs, conferences, and community outreach initiatives.
• Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, confidentiality, and patient safety.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD/DNB in General Medicine followed by DM/DNB in Cardiology from a recognized institution.
• Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (mandatory).
• Minimum 10 years of post-DM/DNB experience in a reputed tertiary care or super-specialty hospital.
• Proven track record of independently handling high-volume and complex interventional cardiology cases.
• Expertise in latest interventional techniques, imaging modalities, and advanced cardiac technologies.
