Role Overview
As a Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for driving the company’s growth strategy by leading business development initiatives, managing key client relationships, and identifying high-value opportunities across markets. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities to position AIQ Space as a key player in the space-tech and AI ecosystem. You will work closely with leadership, product, and marketing teams to scale revenue and expand market presence.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Growth Leadership: Define and execute business development strategies aligned with company goals and long-term vision.
• Lead Generation & Market Expansion: Identify, evaluate, and penetrate new markets, industries, and client segments across geospatial, AI, and space-tech domains.
• Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to drive long-term business value.
• Sales Strategy & Deal Closure: Lead end-to-end sales cycles including pitching, negotiations, and closing high-value deals.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and manage the business development team, set targets, and ensure performance alignment with organizational goals.
• Strategic Partnerships & Alliances: Establish and manage partnerships, collaborations, and joint ventures to accelerate business growth.
• Market Intelligence & Positioning: Analyze market trends, competitor landscape, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
• Proposal & Contract Management: Oversee the creation of proposals, pricing strategies, contracts, and MoUs in coordination with internal teams.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, tech, and marketing teams to align offerings with market needs and drive go-to-market strategies.
• Revenue Ownership: Take ownership of revenue targets, forecasts, and business expansion metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 1-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably in tech, SaaS, geospatial, or AI-driven companies.
• Proven track record of closing high-value deals and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand complex technical solutions and translate them into business value.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities in a startup environment.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and business analytics tools.
• Experience working in or with startups is highly preferred.
