POSITION SUMMARY
Our innovative company is looking to fill the role of Oracle EBS DB Administrator. Day-to-day activities include designing and documenting system specifications, implementing Oracle database solutions aligned with business requirements, supporting EBS application, ensuring system uptime, collaborating with application teams, leading operational and project-based initiatives, mentoring team members, and developing KPIs and operational standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Provide senior-level DBA support for Oracle applications (EBS, Hyperion, Hyperion HFM, Essbase systems), including database migrations (including cross-platform), complex troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning, and system optimization.
· Experience in installation, configuration, administration, patching, and upgrading multi-tier Oracle EBS 12.2.x and Hyperion 11.x environments using Oracle technical stack (Oracle Database 19c & above, 10g AS, WebLogic 12.1+).
· Develop and maintain scripts to support Oracle databases, EBS, and Hyperion environments to support administration, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
· Set up and manage concurrent processing, perform database cloning, and utilize tools like adop, adadmin, adpatch, adctrl, adrelink and admerge.
· Configure and maintain Oracle Workflow & Workflow Mailer, Apache, Forms, Reports, JVM tuning, OAM integration for Single Sign-On (SSO).
· Setup and management of Concurrent Processing, Concurrent Managers, and Performance tuning.
· Manage and deliver projects within agreed timelines and SLAs, while proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes.
· Maintain and support Oracle database security, including adherence to security best practices and participation in SOX auditing activities.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· 9+ years of Oracle EBS DBA experience.
· BS degree in computing or other related field, or equivalent experience.
· Oracle certification preferred.
· Strong hands-on experience with Online Patching (adop) lifecycle management in EBS 12.2 environments.
· Proficient in EBS administration utilities: adadmin, adpatch, adop, adctrl, adrelink, admerge.
· Experience in cloning (Rapid Clone), database refreshes, and multi-node environment management.
· Strong experience with Oracle Database 12c / 19c, including performance tuning (AWR, ADDM, ASH), Backup & Recovery using RMAN, DBMS AQ Services, and multitenant (CDB/PDB) architecture.
· Experience with High Availability Architectures, including Oracle RAC Administration, Data Guard (Physical & Logical Standby), Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP), Load Balancer configuration
· Experience with SOA Suite 12c Administration, OEM 13.5 Monitoring & Management, Fusion Middleware Administration, Hyperion 11.x Administration, Linux OS Administration (RedHat / Oracle Linux)
· Experience with EBS Lift & Shift to OCI / AWS / Azure, OCI Cloud Manager, Cloud provisioning and migration strategies
· Experience using automation & DevOps, including environment automation using Ansible, shell scripting, deployment automation and patch cycle optimization
· Experience in archiving & purging tools such as HP Archiving.
· Knowledge of Configurators, JVM optimization, memory tuning, and capacity planning.
· Clear and concise communications, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency.
· Effectively interact with internal and external personnel to coordinate and resolve complex issues.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ready to work in 24X7 shifts & on call schedule.
· Teammate will be expected to undertake training to ensure that her/his skills are current.
