We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize large-scale database systems (RDBMS and/or Time Series Databases). The ideal candidate will ensure high performance, availability, security, and reliability of our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and manage database systems (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Time Series DBs like QuestDB).

Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning and indexing strategies.

Work in real-time, high-throughput environments to ensure system efficiency.

Design and implement database solutions for new and existing applications.

Collaborate with development teams on schema design, query optimization, and data migration.

Perform routine maintenance, backups, and recovery operations.

Troubleshoot database issues such as crashes, slow queries, and system bottlenecks.

Ensure seamless integration of databases with multiple applications.

Maintain clear documentation of database configurations and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

7–8 years of experience as a DBA in a production environment.

Strong expertise in:

RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Time Series Databases (e.g., QuestDB)

Advanced knowledge of:

Performance tuning & query optimization

Indexing strategies

Backup & recovery

High availability & replication

Proficiency in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Shell scripting.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL).

Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
