Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage end-to-end production operations for Roll Forming lines at our Mundra facility. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in roll forming, tube/pipe manufacturing, ERW welding, and high capacity production line management.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete production operations for Roll Forming lines and ensure adherence to quality, output, and efficiency targets.

• Plan, organize, and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules based on material, machine, and manpower availability.

• Handle shift management, workforce planning, and supervision of production teams.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory machine requirements, and company policies.

• Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance is carried out on time.

• Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues related to ERW welding, roll forming setup, tooling, and equipment performance.

• Review production KPIs such as output, downtime, rejection, yield, and implement corrective actions.

• Develop and update SOPs, best practices, and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

• Work closely with Quality, SCM, Maintenance, and Planning teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Recommend machine/tooling improvements, spares requirement, and capital investments for productivity enhancement.

• Ensure raw materials and finished goods comply with mechanical and chemical specifications.

• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to production staff.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics Engineering.

• Minimum 12-18 years of experience in Roll Forming, Tube Mills, or Steel Pipe Manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of roll forming technology, tooling, and forming mill troubleshooting.

• Expertise in ERW welding issues (pre-arc, insufficient fusion, blow holes, skip welding, sticking welding, etc.).

• Good understanding of ISO standards related to raw materials and manufacturing processes.

• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and problem solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
